The Ron Balicki Scholarship for aspiring golf journalists is dedicated to the memory of Ron Balicki for his lifelong commitment to covering the game of golf.
“This past year has changed my life,” Gelman said. “I used to only cover basketball and football games, and although I am very passionate about these two sports, I never felt like I fit in. With golf, I’m home. I now know that I want to cover the sport of golf as a professional, and it is an honor to represent Ron Balicki’s name.”

Traveled to 10 total tournaments during the 2022 & 2021 Summer. Indiana, California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Ran all social media account for the CGAA Summer Series. Interviewed players post round, shot highlights from player rounds, final scorecards, all posted on social media. Wrote all press releases to local media and SIDs, using adobe premiere, photoshop, lightroom, and WordPress

Produce all content for Arizona State Men’s Golf Social Media Pages. Walk 18-36 holes (4-8 hours) per day at tournaments, conducting on-camera interviews, player shots. Get footage of every shot for the ASU golfers. Create play by play broadcast from each round, interview with players, scorecard graphics, and more

From scratch, created a sports network. While in High School, the network focused on high school athletics and professional sports. Now, covering every sport, every level of competition. Runs a twitter and Instagram account and created website from scratch on WordPress. AGSN has covered big time golf tournaments, including the 2021 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club, the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup at Rich Harvest Farms, and the 2021 U.S. Amateur at Oakmont Country Club. Credentials for Arizona State Football. First to report that Jean Segura was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, given credit by Ken Rosenthal.
